About STALKER: THE MUSICAL

Stalker the Musical is a brand new piece of Australian musical theatre – which has been many years in the making. It is the brain child of 3 Australian writers: Andy Peterson, Alex Giles and David Russell – who have been working tirelessly over the last several years to make this show a reality.

Stalker is a deliberately provocative title. But the show isn’t really that controversial. It creates a dystopian world, where ‘stalking’ women is the norm, men are encouaged to look - and the girls in turn love the attention. There is only one rule in town, people do not and cannot fall in love. The town is thrown into chaos when a stranger arrives on the scene, a stranger not from this world, who has no idea how he arrived or how to leave. Worse still, the stranger introduces the town to the concept of ‘love’, with tumultuous results.

Stalker: The Musical is proud to have been the only Australian show in the New York International Fringe Festival of 2015.

Following on from our successful season at the New York International Fringe Festival in 2015, Stalker was invited to participate in the 2016 Chicago Music Theatre Festival. We had a fantastic season in Chicago, fresh from some pretty major overhauls, new songs, and some intense workshopping in Sydney.
